In this vision, we try to review one aspect of the inadequacy of Arab acceptance of Western theories and approaches. The Arab mind was confined to receiving activity from the heritage and from the other the Western comer. Then he did not escape the defect in the receiving effort. One manifestation of this inadequacy is the attempt to link intertextuality and plagiarism. We find it pretends linking the two visions in an attempt to claim that there are convergences. For that reason, we are trying to demonstrate the aspects of dissimilarity between the two visions (Intertextuality and plagiarism), which is emphasized in the following:
Intertextuality represents a whole vision, which judges the whole texts in general, while the Arab vision of plagiarism is confined to the poetic field and restricted to the aesthetic purpose
This was absent from the Western theory, as it was not concerned with the aesthetic dimension.
Plagiarism focuses on originality and the idea of the agent, while the vision of intertextuality emphasizes the absence of will and purpose.
Goals, objectives and results are different in the two perspectives.
