The meaning given by a compound speech act of two or more simple verbs but not making a text by itself is a new turning point which has bestowed this field more capacity of expressing meanings in the communication process. This is considered a development and maturation in speech acts. The present research work is concerned with analysing a text from the Arabic linguistic heritage to display the real intrinsic meanings in the text and figure them out in order to make use of them and demonstrate the linguistic capacity of the communication process involved in the studied text.
This research consists of an introduction and three chapters. The first chapter deals with ditect compound speech acts only, the second chapter analyses indirect compound speech acts, whereas the third chapter concerns itself with direct and indirect compound speech acts.
