This research is based on the technical usage of the reference of the heritage of an immersed poet of
the Mamluk era, the poet Abu Bakr Dammini, who died in the year «827 AH / 1424 AD». Its importance is
due to the fact that it is the first study to examine his poetry, and its characteristics.
The research is based on the critical analytical approach in the study of the artistic usage of the
traditional references in poetry of the poet and the identification of its manifestations.
The research consists of: "Introduction, Entrance, Five Axes, and Conclusion". The introduction
includes "its problematic, its questions, its importance, its objectives, methodology, previous studies, its
procedures, its limits and its plan." The Entrance addresses the heritage and its importance.
The research includes five axes; the first one is the usage of religious heritage. And second: the
exploitation of poetic heritage. The third is the usage of the famous characters heritage. Fourth: Using the
names of Arabic works. And finally: the use of the terminology of science, Then the conclusion. And
proved by the sources and references on which it relied.
